Injuries are common for any sports person.There are some common injuries that occur while playing sports which involve running.Foot injuries, lower leg injuries, ankle injuries, knee injuries, wrist injuries, elbow injuries etc.

Common Injuries that occur frequently among rummers are listed below.

Foot injuries
- Foot injuries occurs because of improper shoe selection, that is the shoe might not be of correct size.
- Proper care should be taken against injuries like foot and ankle injuries.

Lower leg injuries
Shin splints is an injury which occurs in front of lower leg. Its symptoms are shown at front inside shin bone and there are many causes for the occurrence of shin splints. Swelling and pain occur while exercising. -
Ankle injuries
Ankle injuries are sometimes caused due to improper selection of shoes or using new shoes for the run. It is always advised not to wear new shoes on the day you run. -
Knee injuries
- Knee injuries are the most common injuries found in runners life. It is always advised to wear a knee cap and then go a run. But choosing a proper knee cap is also important.
- Knee injuries are sometimes occurred because of the knee band. People using this knee-cap regularly get irritation as it gets rubbed on outside the knee. If it becomes tight it might rub outside the knee causing inflation.

Wrist injuries
- Wrist injuries are the common injuries that occur while running. Wrist injuries may sometimes occur when you loose balance and fall front.
- The injuries are minor you get scars on the skin. It is advised to wear bands both for wrists and knees. This sometimes may be major case where bone fractures occur.

Elbow Injuries
- Elbow Injuries are also the common injuries that occur while running.In general elbow injuries are the most dangerous and takes lot of time to recover. Most of the fractures that occurs to cricketers to the elbows. Hence it is advisable to wear elbow guards in order to get less injured.
- Because runners usually treat common injuries by using ice packs, heat and cold therapy etc. It is advised to consult an orthopedist, in case the injuries are complex.
