Causes of Asthmatic Bronchitis:
Bronchial tubes develop mucus membrane. This is the protective substance that covers the respiratory organs. Bronchial tubes, mucus membrane and other soft tissues are covered by hair-like substance, called cilia. Cilia prevents irritants and viruses from reaching the lungs. Although, a prolonged exposure to peripheral agents makes airborne particles and viruses to infuse the defences. It causes inflammation and infection. Some experts say that respiratory problems in the childhood such as weak immune system and hyperactivity are also factors responsible for the development of asthmatic bronchitis. This condition often affects smokers.
