Walking pneumonia symptoms are experienced as the time passes. If one feels lethargic and experiences other symptoms, are supposed to consult the doctor. Usually, people suffering from walking pneumonia face discomfort while sleeping. This is due to accumulation of fluids in lungs. Patient must make his/her body rest in an angle other than lying flat to avoid fluid from moving higher in respiratory tract. Medical attention is very important, if atypical pneumonia is caused due to Legionella bacteria. If proper treatment is not given, infection lasts for a month. Antibiotics are prescribed for adults and children. In milder cases, antibiotics can cure the condition successfully, but severe condition requires hospitalization and bed rest. This is fatal for elderly and also for weak immune systems.
