You would be amazed to know that the ‘Environment’ in which we live can also decide if we are obese or not. Though the most common reasons are related to our eating habits and sedentary lifestyles. But our ‘Environment’ may also be a genuine reason.
Americans are very fond of good taste and convenient eating rather than emphasizing on nutrition. They love fast foods. Today life is running too fast. And the increase in competition is forcing us to move ahead of time. We are always in a hurry. Whether it is about going somewhere or doing something important. We very often compromise our most precious health. We ignore healthy eating due to lack of time, be it eating healthy food or taking time to eat healthy food. We are forced to adapt to the most convenient, easy and fast methods. Due to this we are consuming unwanted pounds and several health risks.
Do you know the age of sedentary living is lowering each year. Our children spend more time watching television, working on computer or playing video games or computer games. But they need to get involved in more sports activities, more exercises and other healthy activities. Adults need to educate their children about good eating habits. We should start following a healthy routine so that our child can follow them. We must be engaged in physical activities. I know we are too rushed; we live a hectic life. We often dine out. We even take our suppers or lunch in front of the television. These can have a very bad impact on our children. They also start adapting to these habits. We need to become role model’s for every good thing in our child’s life.
We need a healthy environment. Our environment provides us with many opportunities of having nutritious food in countable proportions. It promotes physical activities and healthy eating as well. But we ignore them and gets adapted to the easy unhealthy stuffs. It is very important for us to maintain our weight and health. A healthy environment may be created at school, work and home. We just need to identify and decide over the good things and the risk factors.
