If you are looking for an ideal diet plan in this article, you will be disappointed. I can suggest you an austere diet plan like what the fad diets do, of course with a fancy name. But how will that benefit you?
The problem with fad diets is that people have a lot of expectations from them, perhaps that has something to do with the way these diets are marketed. People adopt these diets expecting spectacular results from them. Initially, they may have the motivation, but if these diets are way too different from the kind of food you have been eating all your life, you may have to work hard to adhere to these diets. When your efforts don’t yield your expected results. You lose all your motivation and you quit.
I don’t say that fad diets are failures, I just believe they aren’t practical. Each one of us has different preferences when it comes to food. Someone who lives on fast food cannot quit and start living on juices and salads. Imagine how difficult would that be.
The best way to diet is to alter your normal diet and replace certain high-calorie foods with low calorie and healthier alternatives.
For instance, if you love Burgers and Sandwiches like I do, you can replace the white bread with Brown bread. You can add in more vegetables and replace Ham with chicken. Instead of fried chicken you can use grilled or smoked chicken. You can replace aerated drinks with fresh fruit juices. You can replace Mayonnaise with Low Fat Yogurt. Instead of whole milk you can adopt the skimmed version.
Do not quit your usual diet to adopt a new one. Give your body enough time to adapt to a new diet and new kind of food. Reduce your portion size and get habituated to eating less. Once you adjust with a smaller portion size, you can add up and subtract things from your diet. Give up unhealthy options one by one.
Once you are mentally and physically prepared for the so called Fad diets. You can go ahead and explore the options. You will fare better than last time.
Good Luck!

My husband and I have lost a combined 53 pounds. We started drinking this fruit juice called Monavie. It is made up of 19 fruits including the acai berry. Its low glycemic index benefits for weight control because it helps control appetite and delay hunger.
