The Betty Erikson Technique of Self-Hypnosis:
This technique involves three stages.They are:
Stage One : Pre-Hynotic State:
- Choose a quit place.Be comfortable.Relax.Breathe slowly.
- Instruct your mind about the purpose of the self hypnosis.
- Tell it the adjustments it should make to achieve the desired state of mind during hypnosis.
- Finally state to it,the duration of the hypnosis and how you should feel after the whole process.
Stage Two: Hypnotic State:
- See three things slowly,one after another.
- Now listen and see three things slowly,one after another.
- Then feel three sensations slowly,one after another.
- Repeat the process by seeing,listening and feeling two things slowly one after another.
- Finally repeat the process with seeing,listening and feeling once slowly one after another.
- This is the practice technique to reach the hypnotic stage.
- In the hypnotic stage,close your eyes.
- Imagine a picture.Then,imagine a sound.Lastly,imagine a feeling.
- Repeat the process with two pictures,two sounds and two feelings slowly one after another.
- Finally we repeat the process with three pictures,three sounds and three feelings slowly one after another.
Stage Three:Post-Hypnotic stage:
- We should trust our unconscious in guiding thus through the trance.
- Allow the unconscious to come out of the trance by itself.
