One of the most common symptoms of fasting is mouth cankers. This is because the body is detoxifying from the tongue, lungs and skin. And, when the body is eliminating all these wastes, it will serve as home for viruses and bacteria which will result in mouth cankers which are painful, a few sores are also formed on the gums of the cheeks. Simple Remedies for Mouth Cankers
Follow these simple tips to get rid of your mouth cankers during fasting:
- Sugar: Take a little sugar and rub it on to your canker. This method is usually followed in the Philippines and is considered to be quite effective.
- Salt: Take a pinch of salt and apply it on the mouth cankers. This is very effective, but, can be quite painful. The salt burns all the bacteria and the nerve might become dead but the level of pain is very extreme. The salt has to be applied several times a day.
- Vitamin C: All you need is vitamin C to get rid of your mouth canker. When ever you realize that you canker is begginning to sore, drink ½ glass of orange juice for about 2-3 days and your cankers would just vanish. You can also take Vitamin C pills.
- Tannin: Another simple way to get rid of your mouth canker is tannin. Take a tea bag that is wet and put it over your canker, the tannin would help in drying up the ulcer.
- Rinse of Sodium Bicarbonate & Hydrogen Peroxide: Mix 2 ounces of water with 1 teaspoon of baking soda, salt and 2 ounces of hydrogen peroxide. With this combination, rinse your mouth at least for our times in a day.
