Amblyopia, in other words also called “Lazy Eye” is a state usually occurring during childhood, where in one eye develops an abnormal sight often resulting in a drifting eye or crossed eyes. This condition is mostly found to affect 2% of children, and can corrected with immediate treatment.
The most common treatment done to cure this problem, is patching up the healthy eye so that the defective eye is forced to put in use. Other available treatments are eye muscle surgery, using eye drops and wearing glasses. The treatment is accompanied by various eye exercises.
Lazy Eyes or Amblyopia, in adults is a little problematic as there is no treatments or exercises currently available to correct this defect.

Eye exercises, are not only good for healthy eyes, but are also important and good for the improvement of vision. They are very necessary to develop and maintain good and normal vision.
Here are few eye exercises for Lazy eye that can help treat your child. It is very important to consult your doctor before you go about using these eye exercises.
Eye Patching: In this, the healthy eye is blinded with a patch and the affected eye is forced to work. This helps establishing a communication between the eye and the brain. The patch can be removed as advised by the doctor.
Rolling: This helps in the eye muscles to work. In rolling also, the normal eye is patched. The direction of rolling and the time duration is advices by the doctor.
Focusing Skills: In this exercise, the focus is quickly shifted from one point to the other.
Tracking: This exercise, unifies the peripheral and central vision of the child. The peripheral vision finds the objects and the central vision tells us about the object.
All these exercises should be made interesting so that children find it fun doing the same. These exercises when done regularly or as directed by the doctor, can help rectify Lazy Eye
