    Eye lids protect the eyes from dust and all the other types of damages. The thin layer covering the upper surface of the eyelids protects the eyes the most.

    As these are very sensitive they are more to infections. There many types of problems which these eyelids face while protecting the eyes.

    Problems Of Eyelids:
    Most common types of problems which are faced by the eyelids are:

    • Eyelid Dermatitis: It is the infection in which lids become dry and scaly. This is caused by non allergic due to makeup, makeup remover, nail polish, perfume, skin lotion or skin cream etc.
    • Conjunctivitis: It is the bacterial infection of the inner eyelid called conjunctiva. This infection is also known as pink eye and is highly contagious. This infection requires medical attention because if it is not tackled properly it could to severe long — term problems.
    • Itching of Eyelids: This is caused due allergic and non allergic infections of the makeup nail polish etc.
    • Sties: It is the inflammation of eyes just like pimples. It is caused due to some infection.

    Remedy For Dry Eyelids:
    The remedy for dry and flaky eyelids can be:

    • Use Of Moisturizer Daily: In order to remove dryness from your eyelids mild moisturizer can be used on them on a regular basis. This will prevent your eyelids from drying.
    • Consult Ophthalmologist: Incase you have inflammation or dryness for many days then consult an ophthalmologist. It is because dryness can sometime be due to some other hidden problem. So, doctor’s opinion and conduction of tests is necessary.
    • Maintain Whole Body Health: It is very important to maintain the whole body health. It is because lack of any nutrition could result severe irregularities in the body. So, proper diet and nutrition is very important.
