- Vision problems and changes can be caused by different conditions such as amblyopia or presbyopia, that is most common in elderly persons.
- Cataract is a common cause. This causes halos around lights, poor night time vision and sensitivity to glare.
- Glaucoma is also common cause of blurred vision. Glaucoma may occur gradually or suddenly, but if it is sudden you need a medical emergency.
- Another cause of blurred vision is diabetic retinopathy. It is a complication of diabetes which may lead to bleeding in the retina.
- Macular degeneration is also one of the common cause. It can cause blindness in people over the age of 60 years.
