Lazy eye or Amblyopia is the condition in which the reduced vision is noted in the eyes. This condition is not correctable by the use of glasses or the contact lenses. This condition of lazy eyes always begins in the childhood before the age of 3 years.This condition does not arise due to any eye disease.
The reason for this condition to arise is the brain, which does not recognise the images which are seen by the lazy eyes. This condition is normally found in one eye but sometimes it can be there in both the eyes too.
Causes Of Adult Lazy Eyes:

- The brain is responsible for this condition to occur as it is the one which initates the processing for the better vision and chooses the better of the two eyes.
- Whenever there is a confusion in the vision due strabismus or the pathways of the normal vision are blocked or there is a difference in the refractive powers of both the eyes; the brain gets confused and it is these conditions which result in lazy eyes.
Symptoms For Lazy Eyes:
The lazy eyes can be determined by doing following things:
- Watch closely at your eyes and notice if your eyes are turned inwards or outwards.
- The position of one eye will seem to be stronger than the other one.
- The movement of one eye will not match to the movement of the other eye.
- Eye glasses or contact lenses will not help in curing the blur vision.
