Adharniya vega is the branch in Ayurveda, which deals with the natural urges. There are various natural urges in the body like hunger and thirst. These body urges are called ‘Vegas‘ in Ayurveda health inscriptions. The word ‘Adharniya‘ denotes the word non suppressible. Hence, the term Adharniya vega means the natural urges of the body should not be suppressed.
The suppression of body’s natural urges result in various pathological states of the body. There are various treatments also for these health conditions. There are 13 natural urges, which when suppressed can lead to various diseases.
