What are lipomas?
Lipomas are small benign tumors that form just below the skin. They are usually made of fatty cells that get accumulated at one spot under the skin. They are usually soft and rubbery to touch and may make the area of skin tender and sensitive to touch. They can become harmful if they get infected, painful or inflamed as this may cause health complications. In such cases, they may need to be surgically removed.
