In this article we intend to give information on the after effects of Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique (NAET). Although the principle and the treatment technique sound very interesting, its efficacy is not proved beyond possible placebo effects. That is the reason most of the scientific communities do not accept this technique as the standard for treatment of allergies.
Briefly covering the treatment technique: Acupressure or acupuncture is the basic treatment approach for NAET. Acupressure is administered according to Dr. Devi Nambudripad’s protocol. It is done either by hand or with help of a pressure device. The treatment aims at reprogramming the body’s response to the future contacts of allergens. This is described as clearing the energy blockages.
During the spinal NAET treatment procedure the patient and the practitioner are alone present in the room. This is to prevent “electromagnetic interference” of other person’s body on the treatment.
After effects of the treatment: Following the reprogramming of the body, the allergen is rechecked to see if the body is really programmed or not. The patient is asked to remain in the same place for 15 to 20 minutes. After that the patient is again tested for the muscle strength with the allergen in his hand.
Following this the patient is asked to wash his hands or rub them together for a minute or two. Since the bio-electomagnetic energy flow is controlled by the body’s biological time clock, the patient is advised not to have any contact with the tested allergens for next 25 hours.
After 25 hours the patient is rechecked to verify the allergic responses to the tested allergens. This clearing process is completed in many phases till it appears that allergy is eliminated totally from the body’s cellular memory. The complete course takes about 30 to 40 visits and those who are taking it for preventive measure, it takes about 15 to 20 visits.
