- NSAIDS: Topical steroids can reduce the redness, itchiness, swelling and provide relief. However, these should be used under the supervision of a doctor
Most of the medications to treat eye allergies are available as over-the-counter and can be obtained easily.
Prevention is the best way to manage allergy ichy eyes. Wearing goggles can protect your eyes from allergens. Keeping your home free from dust mites, pet dander, pollen would be helpful. It is also recommended to stay indoors when the pollen count is high.
