What is constipation according to Ayurveda?
Constipation refers to the inability to pass stools easily and regularly. The Ayurvedic term for constipation is Anaha. It is mainly caused due to imbalances in the Vata Dosha. Ayurvedic remedies are, therefore, directed towards balancing this Dosha and restoring normalcy to the body through this. This condition can be caused by imbalances in the other two Doshas as well.
