    Running activities for kids

    Any sport helps us to remain strong both physically and mentally. Especially kids of corporate schools? are being pressured at their earlier stages.That is the reason they do not even know the importance of sports. They come home tired after the school, and are least interested in playing. It is the parents responsibility to let their child know, the importance of sports.And how they help in growing physically and mentally.

    Here are some basic activities for kids
    There are many activities like running, jogging,cycling along with other indoor and out door games, for the kids.It helps them to relieve stress.We can suggest to start initially with jogging and slowly proceed to running. It might not be a good idea to start off with running. They might face problems like muscle cramps,and severe pain in legs especially calf muscles because calf muscles are stressed the most while running. So it is suggested to warm up well before running.

    We can strengthen calf muscles by doing exercises like cycling,swimming,toe-raising etc.We can encourage them for other indoor activities,but out door activities help much better because they aid bone development.Especially out door activities like volley-ball,basket-ball,tennis are considered to be the best, even though they may be strenuous.Running is considered to strengthen your upper body while swimming is to exercise your complete body.

    Burning of calories
    As kids consume foods which have lots of calories like chocolates, smoothies and milk shakes. Running is the best exercise for them to burn these calories.

    Time and cost factor
    Running has nothing to do with the cost as it is cost effective.If you are interested in running then you can run at any time and at any location.The only thing you need is a pair of running shoes.

    Remain healthy
    Running especially in the morning helps you take in fresh oxygen, which helps in purifying blood.
    Running in morning helps a lot, early morning rays are good source of vitamin D.

    Caution

    • If in-case you are suffering from any of the health problems like blood pressure, diabetes, asthma then it is better to avoid these exercises. It is advisable to consult a doctor before you start off with these exercises.
    • Running exposes you to sun-rays which could increase risk of skin cancer, visual problems and dehydration.
