Viterous is a clear, jelly-like which is filled inside the eyes. Whenever the retinal blood vessels ruptures the bloods gets collected into the vitreous humor resulting in the condition called vitreous hemorrhage. The hemorrhages are the result of the leakage from the weak and abnormal cells or these might be associated with trauma, retinopathy, diabetes and other factors.
Symptoms Of Viterous Hemorrhage:
The symptoms of viterous hemorrhage includes:
- Reduction in the amount of light which use to pass through when viterous was a clear humor.
- Few dark spots in vision are noticed in hemmorhage but in severe cases complete vision loss is also possible.
- Sudden onset of blurred vision will be there
- Floaters can be seen in eyes
- Flashing of light will be there
- Blindness will be there in acute cases
- In case extensive or repeated bleeding takes then it can result in the formation of fibrous tissueon retina which can result in permanent vision loss.
Causes For Viterous Hemmorhage:
The causes for viterous hemmorhage includes:
- Age- related macular degeneration
- Poliferated sickle cell retinopathy
- Retinal is considered as the main cause
- Trauma
- Detachment of the posterior viterous from the retinal vascular due to tearing
- Terson syndrome
- Macroaneurysm
Treatment For Viterous Hemmorhage:
The treatment of this condition involves two issues. These two causes includes the treating the hemmorhage and the other is treating the cause for this condition. Generally, this condition clears with in few weeks or months. The patients who are suffering from this condition must avoid sleeping flat in bed, instead sleep with a number of pillows under your head. Surgery is the best option for this condition where all the hemorrhage is removed, thus treating the disease.
The other way to cure this condition is to remove the causes like retinal tear, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment for curing the condition of viterous hemorrhage.
