This will inform the doctor about the amount of astigmatism, farsightedness, nearsightedness which the patient has. In the next step the front surface of the eye is measured using an instrument called corneal topographer. Now based on this digital map, a special contact of exact specifications is prepared. This special contact, in its initial stages is worn for 8 hours daily and once an improved vision is reached it time can be extended according to the need.
