Getting eyebrows pierced can definitely be fun but having an infected eyebrow piercing is not certainly nice. An infected eyebrow piercing is something that needs to be cared for or else it can get dangerous. You need to know some facts that will help you deal with such a situation.
Treating Infection
If you end up with an infection there are a few things you can do. First, if the infection is mild, just make sure that you clean it constantly and apply antibacterial ointment.
If it is a bit severe keep cleaning it with liquid gold dial and start soaking it 3-4 times a day with sea salt soaks (warm water, SEA salt, mix until it tastes like tears. Then soak a cotton ball or paper towel in it and hold it on the spot for 10-15 minutes). Avoid using Bactine, neosporin, peroxide, alcohol, table salt or Epsom salt.
These products just dry out and irritate you piercing and skin. The infection may look like a pimple, which actually can be an abscess or a scar tissue. In order to prevent it from getting worse do not pick at this pimple. Picking at it will open it and can increase infection or do harm to the piercing and the pimple will just get worse. If you want to remove the piercing get a piercer to do it.
Keep it clean, don’t lay on that side of your head. If the puss turns brighter or more yellow, green or brown, you will have to go to a doctor to get and antibiotic
A lot of people don’t realize it, but letting an infection get out of control can have serious health consequences. If you do see a doctor, you will want to make sure that you follow the instructions for treatment carefully. They may also want to give you some antibiotics
