- You can also opt for some water treatments; those have been proved to be quite beneficial including cold wet fomentations and cold compress. You can take this treatment twice daily.
- One more thing that you can do is oil treatment. Take 200 grams of mustard oil in an iron container. Boil it and add 50 grams of fresh neem or margosa leaves to the boiling oil. Keep heating until the leaves turn black. Leave the oil to cool and then sieve it. You can apply this oil mixture four times daily.
- You need to drink fresh tomato juice for curing your symptoms faster.
- You can also take zinc orally or apply it on the affected skin.
Do’s and Don’ts for Eczema:
- Minimize eating foods with high mineral content including ladies finger, onion and ginger.
- Moderate intake of oils and spices as they can aggravate eczema.
- Find out the allergic factor responsible for causing the eczema. Ensure this factor is removed from the environment.
- Avoid salad vegetables such as radish and cucumbers.
- Avoid fruits such as papayas, watermelons and oranges.
- Moderate intake of cold drinks and ice creams.
- Nuts, especially cashew nuts are harmful to eczema patients.
- If the eczema is caused by a dietary ingredient, then avoid that food.
- Avoid using detergents and soaps on the affected skin. Use soaps made from herbal items.
- Take bath with warm water, but not with cold or hot water.
- Use a soft towel to pat dry your skin.
- Try to avoid sweating as much as possible.
- Do not travel to places where the climate is cold and dry.
- Clean your house regularly to keep it dust free.
