Olive oil is derived from seeds, fruit and leaves of the olive tree. It is applied topically to treat skin problems such as psoriasis, rashes and acne. To prevent olive oil allergy, one should avoid olive oil in all forms. As olive oil is used in food, it is important to avoid olive oil containing foods. Inquiring about the ingredients while eating out, reading the food labels while shopping, and keeping out the olive oil from the food while cooking is important.
