Jogging for fitness helps us to be free from many health related issues especially heart diseases. If you are not active in workouts for a longer time then you might have to consult a doctor if you want to start jogging.
Initially do not run faster to know your running speed. Just start off your activities by walking for about 20-30 min. When you get the flow then you can start your jogging. For one week you can go ahead with walking only.

- If you want to increase the cardiovascular fitness and aerobic fitness then jogging can be one of the best ways to meet your requirements.
- If you want injury prevention then you are recommended to do warming and stretching exercises before and after jogging.
- If you are jogging only for fitness then you must not jog against time. So, you can maintain a normal pace while jogging. But, you can even increase your speed when you want to speed up your workouts.
- You can gain fitness by jogging continuously for 30min or even more depending on your stamina. If you feel that you are strained then you can slow down either by reducing your speed or by maintaining a constant pace while jogging.
- If you are jogging continuously at a constant pace then it might be helpful when you are appearing for long distance runs. Jogging can also be helpful if you are appearing for marathon running.
