One must be very careful about his/her eye health and for a maintaining a good vision, it is necessary to perform specific exercises meant for eyes. Eye Exercises to Improve Your Vision
You can improve your vision by doing some easy yet effective eye exercises. These include:
Palming Exercise
- Sit comfortably on a chair.
- You should first rub your hands together to make them warm. Close your eyes and place your warm palms on your eyes.
- Don’t apply any pressure on your eyes. Also, don’t cover your nose.
- Ensure that no light enters in your eyes via the gaps in between your fingers.
- Try to imagine deep blackness and concentrate on that.
- Try to visualize a distant place and take deep and even breaths slowly.
- After a while, remove your palms when you only see blackness and nothing else.
- Repeat the technique of palming for three minutes or more.
Massaging Your Eyes
- Eyelid Massage โ Close your eyes. With your fingers, massage them in circular movements for 1-2 minutes. Ensure that you do not apply any pressure.
- Full Face Massage โ Take a towel and soak it in hot water. Then start rubbing your cheeks, forehead and neck with the towel. Avoid your eyes. Afterwards, gently massage your closed eyes and forehead using your fingertips.
- Cold and Hot Compress โ Take two towels and soak one in cold water, and the second in hot water. Alternatively use both the towels to massage your face, concentrating on your cheeks, closed eyelids and eyebrows. Remember to end the massage with a cold compress.
