In bronchial asthma the lungs narrow and swell thus not allowing enough of air to pass through the airway. This usually starts at a very early age and people of all age groups suffer from this disease. The symptoms can be under control in bronchial asthma but there is no cure for it.
What causes Bronchial Asthma?
There can be a number of reasons that can cause bronchial asthma and the reasons would not be the same for all people. The most common causes are airborne allergies such as dust, animal hair and pollen. Other causes are chemicals in air and food, air pollution like smoke. Asthma can also occur by cold air, exercise, emotional stress, respiratory infection and by taking medications like aspirin and other drugs. The other cause in women can occur because of menstrual cycle.
Symptoms of Bronchial Asthma:
Asthma can be mild or severe and may vary from one person to another. A person may experience slight wheezing sound with a few asthma attacks may trigger in between. Other symptoms can be wheezing and coughing in the nights and even after excerising. According to the doctors observation other symptoms are breathing problem, pain in the chest, lack of sleep because of wheezing, excessive coughing, being down with fever, cold and a whistling sound while exhaling.
Therefore all these symptoms should not be ignored as they may worsen and lead to complications. If this cannot be controlled it may lead to death of a person. This might reduce the stamina and a person may not be able to do much of physical exercise, it may lead to lack of sleep and depression and continuous cough may hinder the functions of the lungs.
